Comprehensive Incentives Support: International productions can choose between two incentives in Colombia: the CINA (tax certificates) and the FFC (cash rebate). These are available for feature films, documentaries, series, animations, and music videos. CINA also includes video games and advertising with additional criteria.
 
At Perrenque Media Lab, we’re pre-registered with the Ministry of Culture to help you select the best incentive for your project and assist with all necessary documentation for a successful application.
 
Our experienced team provides support in planning, budgeting, and application submission, up to the final payment or transfer of certificates.
We collaborate closely with Pro-imágenes and the Colombian Film Commission to ensure a smooth process. We are proud to be among the first to secure the new CINA incentive, showcasing our dedication to excellence and client satisfaction.

CINA (TRANSFERABLE TAX CREDIT):

Offers a 35% tax credit on qualifying foreign investments in Colombia, with a net value of 33.25% after a 5% fee to the Colombian Film Commission. The annual fund is $53M USD with no cap per project. Certificates are issued withoin 15 days after approval.

    FFC (Colombian Film Fund):

    Provides a 40% cash rebate on audiovisual services and a 20% rebate on logistical services, averaging a net 30-32% on approved local spend. The annual fund is $2M USD, capped at $550K USD per project.
    Payments are made within 2 months of approval.

    • Minimum spend: $475,000 USD per project  or $118,750 USD per episode (minimum 4 episodes)
    • A refundable $30,000 USD bid bond is required.
    • Applications must be in the foreign Producer’s name and approved by the CPFC.
    • Contracts must outline conditions and reimbursement amounts.
    • All spending must go through Colombian entities or individuals.
    • Services must be hired via a Colombian company registered with the Ministry of Culture.
    • A fiduciary account and local auditing are required for expenditure management.
